POLICE restrain parents trying to save their children
Everyone wants to end these crazy attackers by random shooters. The only question is HOW? While we have discussed and argued about the solution, more attacks keep happening.
Interpol Secretary General
Ronald Noble wrestled with that dilemma after a 2013 terrorist attack at the
Westgate mall in Nairobi, Kenya. "Noble said there are really only
two choices for protecting open societies from attacks like the one on Westgate
mall where so-called 'soft targets' are hit: either create secure perimeters
around the locations or allow civilians to carry their own guns to protect
themselves,"
The harsh reality is this: The Police are not required by law to protect you. "Nothing in the language of the Due Process Clause itself requires the State or Police to protect the life, liberty, and property of its citizens against invasion by private actors," then-Chief Justice William Rehnquist wrote for the majority in DeShaney v. Winnebago County Department of Social Services (1989).
In the end, you and you alone are responsible for your safety and protection. Government can't or won't protect you from attack. Once you accept this fact, the solutions become much clearer. You need a Personal / Family Protection Plan.
What would you do if you were caught in one of these lone wolf shooter attacks? How would you prepare for a "Home Invasion" by a group of criminals? If your answer is: call the Police....you are really unprepared.
