TRUMP 2024

 


Much has been said and written about Trump and his Presidency. He is not a great leader or particularly smart. Regardless, Trump is the disruptor who may be able to change the course of Federal Government.

Many believe that the "Two Party System" is really the One-Party system of Big Federal Government. Both Parties support ever increasing Federal Spending and bigger deficits. Our national debt is $33 Trillion dollars. This is unsustainable and the solution will be painful.

People ask me, "How can you vote for this guy?" The answer is simple. He might be the only person who can stop the increasing march of Tax & Spend Federal Government. Trump simply does not care what people think and he is just outrageous enough to do the things we need to get done. He supports Project 2025, and the changes called for in the manifest.

Time will tell us if he is the right guy for the job. Nobody else could endure the ongoing criticism he gets for every decision he makes.

 THE HOA....one of the worst ideas For over 25 years I have lived in a home with a Homeowners Association. An HOA. Twice before I was an HOA Board Member. To quote my neighbor Ron, "It is a thankless job."  In 2019 we moved to Hillcrest, a Gated Community on the hills in Carbon Canyon. To our south is the Chino Hills State Park.  I was a poor reader. In third grade Ms Cicchetto told my parents that my reading had gotten worse over the summer and I was reading at the second grade level. I tried to read more, but I just didn't care about reading. TV was much more interesting. Then Mom signed me up for the Library Reading Club. If you read ten books...any books...you got an award. So we went to the Library every Friday afternoon. I picked books that looked good. And I read Ten Books. The Library lady came to our school and to Ms. Cicchetto's surprise, I was awarded a Reading Club Certificate. This began my interest is reading. By 1960, we were living in Germany and I was reading paperback books when I found Dr No. It was a spy book about a British secret agent named James Bond. The author was Ian Fleming. Later in 1962, I saw the movie Dr No, with Sean Connery. I went on to read every Fleming book and those by Le Carre all the way to Brad Thor. On October 11, we go to see "No Time to Die at IMAX. William May....my Dad the Veteran

 My father, like many others from the depression, grew up poor. My Grandfather, Thomas May, had died when dad was young. Dad grew up with his three other brothers and they worked to earn money to support their Mom and the family. During Prohibition, Dad's brothers who had worked at a local Brewery, were fired due to the closure of the Brewery. They earned money by driving trucks of illegal alcohol to secret bars in East Saint Louis. Dad was young and his job was to "ride shotgun." He would sit in the truck with one of his brothers and hold the shotgun just in case they were stopped. Poverty led to my father having a limited education. Worse, helping his brothers smuggle alcohol led to limited job skills. Then in 1942, America went to War. As Dad told me, "I didn't know how to do very much.
